My Wellness Journey
Welcome! A little bit about me...
I have over twenty years of experience in education with primary school through college aged populations. I earned a Master’s in Theory and Curriculum, a single subject teaching credential in English, a K-12 reading specialist credential, a supplemental teaching credential in theater and dance, and a BA in English.
It is my love of learning that led me to become a certified yoga instructor, certified personal trainer, and a certified nutrition coach. I have been teaching yoga all over the Napa Valley for the last sixteen years.
As a first generation American, I learned from a young age that food and exercise are an essential form of self care, connection, and medicine. My Filipina nanay, who was also a registered nurse, would make me homemade ginger tea and chicken vegetable soup whenever I was sick. My Guatemalan abuela always emphasized being active and she practiced yoga until she passed at 95 years of age. The mind-body connection has always intrigued me. As I have matured and become more present in my wellness journey, I want to continue to learn, knowing that there is so much more knowledge to be discovered through my own experiences and from those around me.
I enjoy guiding my students and clients in a relaxing, open, and rewarding atmosphere. Regardless of experience level, clients can be assured that they will stretch, strengthen, gain muscle awareness, and find peace in their practice, wellness journey, and within themselves.
I live in the Napa Valley with my husband and daughter. You can usually find us hiking, dancing, riding horses, listening to music, or enjoying the beach.
